The town of Rochester in Victoria suffered a major flood event in October 2022, with over 3,000 residents having to move out of their homes into temporary accommodation.
Rotary Hawthorn have been working with Rotary Rochester to provide blankets and doonas, fire blankets, fire extinguishers, safety lights, books and puzzles to help residents who are living in sheds and caravans.
Recently, garden vouchers have been distributed to enable replanting of gardens and Hawthorn will continue to support the Rochester community’s recovery efforts.
