Hawthorn Rotary is supporting a clean water and toilet project in Cambodia.

Darrel Steer sends us an update from Kok Tnoth Village.

G’day from Cambodia.

During the past three months we installed our 99th Clean Water Bore.  As you know,  one method of breaking the cycle of disease is by providing clean water.

For us, in places like Australia, washing hands with soap and clean water - the main defence against any disease - is a simple gesture.  But for families in villages in rural Cambodia, it is a luxury that most cannot afford.

Last month we distributed 1,000 cakes of soap to families in Kok Tnoth Village.

Thank you for supporting these villagers.

My best wishes
