Rotary SAFE Families Report to Board – 10 February 2026
The summer break from all things Rotary (not the story in my case), was a time to reflect and plan whilst incorporating issues like health, time and energy. It was clear that I have to make some changes in my life to be able to continue professionally and safely.
Updates on our work:
Towards Respectful Relationships: I would very much like to be given the opportunity to include our members in this terrific program. The Sophia Mundi Steiner School, sponsored by us will activate the program in Term 2 this year.
Rotary Brighton North Board has agreed to sponsoring the Melbourne Montessori College, Brighton this year. I am talking to their teachers presently.
Ginny Giorgio has entered an agreement with RAWCS, and RSF (via Rotary Hawthorn) will enter into a MOU (tabled at tonight’s Board meeting). This means that RAWCS can pay for the film producer, any related costs and items needed by students instead of the sponsoring Rotary Club. This is a big savings for the sponsoring Club.
Rhythms and Rides: This event (see attached updated Running Sheet) will be held 26 April 2026 by Rotary Werribee in supporting our community affected by Family Violence and RSF will be a recipient of funds raised on the day. We shall be in attendance, supporting Rotary Werribee on the day whilst convening a showcase stand of our resources and lobbying for prevention of FV.

- Information and Wellbeing Hub
- Community Partners inc. Rotary Clubs
I am hoping that Rotary Hawthorn members and partners might be interested in attending this event in April?
Train the Trainer Program: I have created a “Train the Trainer” program and this will commence in February this year with 4 of our Leadership Team requesting training in presenting RSF to Clubs and community organisations. The “trainers” come from Rotary Caroline Springs, Rotary Hawthorn, Rotary Woodend and Rotary Hervey Bay Sunrise (Qld).
Guest Speaker Presentations: Dorothy is presenting at Rotary Emerald and Inverloch in February/March.
