Lift the Lid” on is the Australian Rotary Health quip for raising awareness of mental illness.  Unfortunately our speaker, Neil Cole had to call off at the last minute because of family matters.  We hope he can visit us later.

Our stand-in sergeant Kevin Rose did a marvellous job to fill in the program, raising some cash by testing our spelling, as well as raising awareness for ARH.

President Katrina dispersed several prizes for the funny hat brigade, with Sheridan Brown winning the most spectacular and David Pisterman the most debonair.

Visiting Carlton Rotarian Thierry Dismathieu helped fill the program, firstly by introducing his parents Josie and Pierre, both French Rotarians, and then telling us a little about differences between life in France and Australia, before adding some facts about his own club.

These visitors were presented with Hawthorn Rotary banners, as were visitors David and Toni Thomas from Hong Kong South RC.

We all enjoyed this informal and relaxing lunchtime meeting.
